In the heart of the South West area of the Somerset Levels is the town of Langport where in earlier times the town was a port for the export and import of goods to and from the villages of the Levels.

Boats used to sail in from the Bristol Channel through Bridgewater and then on to Langport.  Here they tied up to a quay and off loaded the goods which were then transferred to barges then taken further into the Levels.

Though now not a port and the river has silted up there can still be seen the area of the Quays at Bow in Langport and the remains of the canals are still evident.

Why not then take a bike ride, exploring the area, it is all on level ground, therefore making it very easy cycling for all the family.

Costs are £8.50p for a half day and £14.50p for a bike for a full day.  Discounts for four or more bikes. We supply tandems and also trailers for the very young.
